Terms of Service

By accessing or using any product, service, website, or application operated by Sudo Built Apps LLC ("sudoBuiltApps," "we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to all of our products and services:

• Simpl Apps — our iOS app suite (SimpleQR, SimplFlicks, SimplChores, SimplKanban, SimplSplit, SimplVoice)
• rerun — our music player app for iPhone
• EverydayKitchen — our recipe manager, meal planner and grocery list app
• Checkup: Security Health — our account security app
• CampusBound — our college planning app (also governed by its own terms)
• Everyday Identity Newsletter — our email newsletter on identity and access management
• Everyday Identity Blog — blog.everydayidentity.tech
• AltDraft — altdraft.com, our NFL/NBA draft content site
• AI Agent Playbook — our digital product sold via Gumroad
• IAM Health Check — our consulting services
• Crafted Music House — craftedmusichouse.com, our AI music label
• www.sudobuiltapps.com — our company website

3. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use our apps and websites.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) to make purchases, subscribe to our newsletter, engage our services, or enter into any binding agreement with us. Users under 18 may make in-app purchases with a parent's or guardian's permission, for example through Apple's Family Sharing and Ask to Buy.

4. Simpl Apps (iOS App Suite)

Included apps: SimpleQR, SimplFlicks, SimplChores, SimplKanban, SimplSplit, SimplVoice

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our apps on Apple devices you own or control.

Apps downloaded from the App Store are also licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict for an App Store app, the Standard EULA controls. Apple is not responsible for our apps or for providing support for them.

Pricing and Purchases

• SimpleQR — Free
• SimplFlicks — Free with optional in-app purchases
• SimplChores, SimplKanban, SimplSplit, SimplVoice — Paid apps with one-time purchase pricing

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple per their policy at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store transactions.

Data Processing and Privacy

The Simpl Apps process data on your device. We do not operate backend servers that collect or store your personal data for them. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Updates and Availability

• We may release updates to fix bugs, add features, or address security issues
• We are not obligated to provide updates, maintenance, or support for any specific period
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability; apps may be removed from the App Store at our discretion

5. rerun (Music Player)

rerun is a music player for iPhone. The license, App Store purchase, refund and update terms in Section 4 also apply to rerun.

Free Download and rerun Unlock

• rerun is free to download and plays your own music folders, media servers you connect, and free internet radio
• An optional one-time in-app purchase (the "rerun unlock") adds Apple Music playback, additional colorways and other features described in the App Store listing. It is not a subscription
• You can restore the unlock on another device signed in to the same Apple Account from rerun's settings

Your Music

rerun does not sell, host or provide music. You are responsible for having the rights to any music you add to rerun from your own folders or servers. Your music stays yours; we do not receive or access it.

Third-Party Services

• Internet radio — Stations are listed through the community-run Radio Browser directory and are streamed directly from each station. We do not operate, control or endorse any station or its content, and stations may change or go offline at any time
• Media servers — Servers you connect (such as Plex, Jellyfin or Navidrome) are run by you or by others. Your use of them is governed by their own terms
• Apple Music — Playing Apple Music in rerun requires the rerun unlock and an active Apple Music subscription purchased from Apple. Apple Music is provided by Apple under Apple's terms, and catalog availability is controlled by Apple

rerun is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Apple, Plex, Jellyfin, Navidrome or Radio Browser. Their names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

6. EverydayKitchen

The license, App Store purchase, refund and update terms in Section 4 also apply to EverydayKitchen.

• Purchase — EverydayKitchen is a one-time App Store purchase with no subscription. When the Mac version is released, it is included with your purchase
• Imported recipes — Recipes you import from websites belong to their original authors. Import them for your own personal use, and respect each website's terms
• Food and AI disclaimer — Recipes, meal plans, nutrition details and AI-generated suggestions are for general information only. They are not medical, dietary or allergy advice. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions
• iCloud sync — Sync depends on Apple's iCloud service and your iCloud account and storage. We are not responsible for iCloud outages or data you delete from iCloud

7. Checkup: Security Health

The license, App Store purchase, refund and update terms in Section 4 also apply to Checkup.

Checkup+ Subscription

• Checkup is free to download. Checkup+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that adds features such as breach alerts. Prices and features are shown in the app before you subscribe
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period
• Any free trial or introductory offer is described in the app. Any unused portion of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription

Security Disclaimer

• Checkup gives general guidance to help you improve your account security. It cannot guarantee that your accounts are secure or that you will never be affected by a breach
• Breach alerts depend on data from Have I Been Pwned. Not every breach is known or reported, and alerts may be delayed or incomplete
• You are responsible for keeping your device passcode, Face ID and backup codes safe. Only monitor email addresses that you own or are authorized to check
• Breach data is provided by Have I Been Pwned under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Checkup is not affiliated with or endorsed by Have I Been Pwned

8. CampusBound

CampusBound is governed by its own CampusBound Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which control if anything here differs. In summary:

• CampusBound is for U.S. users age 13 and older. Users aged 13–17 must have a parent's or guardian's consent
• You need an account, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the content you add or share with your Family Circle
• Optional AI features (Essay Coach, Financial Aid Pack and Scholarship Match) are one-time in-app purchases. AI-generated content is guidance only, not admissions, financial or legal advice; verify important details with your school, counselor or financial aid office
• Scholarship, deadline and cost information may change. Always confirm with the scholarship provider or college

9. Everyday Identity Newsletter

By subscribing, you consent to receive periodic email communications about identity and access management topics, industry news, and related content.

• Unsubscribe: Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time.
• Your data: Managed through Kit (ConvertKit) per our Privacy Policy
• Content disclaimer: Newsletter content is informational only and does not constitute professional advice

10. Everyday Identity Blog

Content Disclaimer: Blog content is informational and does not constitute professional advice specific to your environment.

• Licensing: All blog content is copyright © Sudo Built Apps LLC. You may share links and quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not reproduce full articles without written permission.
• Comments: You retain ownership of your comments but grant us a non-exclusive license to display them. We reserve the right to remove any comment.

11. AltDraft

Entertainment Disclaimer: All AltDraft content is for entertainment and informational purposes only. Our analysis represents opinions and hypothetical scenarios, not guaranteed predictions.

No Gambling Advice: AltDraft does NOT provide gambling advice, betting picks, or wagering recommendations. Nothing on AltDraft should encourage gambling or guide betting decisions.

• Licensing: All AltDraft content is copyright © Sudo Built Apps LLC. You may share links and brief excerpts with attribution. You may not reproduce full articles or data sets without written permission.

12. AI Agent Playbook (Digital Product)

The AI Agent Playbook is a digital product sold through Gumroad. Payment is processed by Gumroad/Stripe.

• Refund Policy: All sales are final once the product has been downloaded or the download link accessed. Contact us at jay@sudobuiltapps.com for technical issues.
• Usage Rights: You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for your own personal or business use. You may NOT redistribute, resell, publish publicly, or create competing products from this content.
• Licensing: One license = one person. Contact us for multi-seat licensing.

13. IAM Health Check (Consulting Services)

Consulting engagements are governed by these Terms plus any specific Statement of Work (SOW) agreed upon between the parties.

• Scope: Services are limited to the scope defined in the SOW. Requests outside agreed scope may require a change order.
• Deliverables: Provided "as-is" upon delivery; implementation of recommendations is your responsibility.
• Confidentiality: We treat all client data as confidential and will not disclose it without consent, except as required by law. Client data is deleted or returned upon engagement completion.
• Payment: Payment terms are defined in the SOW. Overdue invoices may accrue interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by New York law.

14. Crafted Music House

AI-Generated Content Disclosure: Music and artist profiles are created using artificial intelligence tools. Artist personas are fictional.

• Licensing: All Crafted Music House content is copyright © Sudo Built Apps LLC. You may listen to and share our music through authorized platforms. You may not download, redistribute, sample, remix, or use our music in your own projects without written permission.

15. Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property across our products are owned by Sudo Built Apps LLC. This includes:

• App source code, designs, and functionality
• Blog posts, articles, and newsletter content
• AltDraft analysis and data
• AI Agent Playbook content
• Crafted Music House music and artwork
• The names "sudoBuiltApps," "Simpl Apps," "rerun," "EverydayKitchen," "Checkup," "CampusBound," "Everyday Identity," "AltDraft," and "Crafted Music House," and the rerun device design and colorways

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without written permission.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted operation.

Specifically: AltDraft content is opinion and entertainment, not guaranteed predictions. Blog and newsletter content is informational, not professional advice. Consulting deliverables reflect our judgment but outcomes depend on implementation.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY NEW YORK LAW, Sudo Built Apps LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of: (1) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (2) one hundred dollars ($100).

18. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Violate any law — federal, state, or local
• Reverse engineer our apps or extract source code
• Circumvent security measures or access controls
• Scrape content using automated tools without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Spam or harass other users
• Use our products for unlawful purposes, including fraud or illegal gambling
• Resell or commercially exploit our products outside the granted license
• Interfere with the proper functioning of our services

Violation may result in immediate termination of your access.

19. Privacy & Data Collection

As covered in our Privacy Policy:

• Our apps keep your app data on your device and do not send it to us, except CampusBound and Checkup breach alerts as described in the Privacy Policy
• Our websites do not use tracking pixels or invasive analytics
• We do not sell or share your information
• We comply with all applicable privacy laws

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to active newsletter subscribers. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at www.sudobuiltapps.com/terms.

21. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to any of our services at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using our services whenever you want.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.

• Informal Resolution First: Before filing any claim, contact us at jay@sudobuiltapps.com and attempt to resolve the dispute for at least 30 days.
• Jurisdiction: Any legal action must be filed in the state or federal courts located in Oswego County, New York.
• Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action or consolidated proceeding.
